HUMAN RIGHTS Sit-in AT THE Place de Nations in front of the UN IN GENEVA

On March 11, 2021, coinciding with an international online conference on human rights, a sit-in against human rights violations in Iran was held at Nations Square in Geneva.

The goals of this sit-in were to publicize the human rights violations, to bring to account those responsible for the regime's massacre of more than 30,000 prisoners in 1988, and to bring this crime against humanity before the UN Security Council. This sit-in was broadcast by a satellite program that has millions of viewers in Iran and the world.

Following these revelations, Javaid Rehman, the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in Iran, and six other human rights experts recently condemned the 1988 massacre and called on the United Nations to prosecute this crime against humanity.
