Since March 19th, the Iranian population has been suffering from disastrous flooding in more than 21 provinces.
So far, hundreds of people have been killed or lost in the surging waters, millions of people have become homeless, hundreds of towns and villages are under water and thousands of people are still cut off from the outside world by the floods.
Flooding continues in several parts of the country and the number of victims is increasing daily.
The mullah regime is responsible for the scale of the disaster due to its negligence of the environmental degradation that has taken place and failure to maintain/repair the country’s basic infrastructure over the past 40 years.
Not only has the regime refused to provide any basic assistance to the victims and blocked all international aid, it has also sent its repressive military and police forces to the disaster areas to subdue the flood victims there.
VEREIN WELLE EXPRESSES ITS DEEPEST EMPATHY FOR ALL THOSE AFFECTED BY THIS CATASTROPHE AND APPEALS TO YOU TO DEMONSTRATE YOUR SOLIDARITY WITH THE FLOOD VICTIMS BY CONTRIBUTING WHATEVER YOU CAN SO THAT WE, TOGETHER, CAN BE THEIR VOICES TO THE OUTSIDE WORLD.
